Cheeseburger Spring Rolls

Ingredients (makes 6 rolls)

  • 200 g ground beef
  • Salt and pepper
  • 6 spring roll wrappers
  • ½ cup shredded American cheese
  • ½ cup shredded lettuce
  • ¼ cup diced tomato
  • 1 tbsp diced onion
  • Oil for frying

Special Sauce

  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp mustard

Instructions

  1. Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium‐high, seasoning with salt and pepper. Break into small pieces; drain excess fat. Let cool slightly.
  2. Mix mayo, ketchup, and mustard for special sauce.
  3. Lay a wrapper on a board. Place about 2 tbsp beef in the center, top with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a drizzle of special sauce.
  4. Fold bottom up, fold sides in, roll tightly. Repeat for each.
  5. Heat oil in a pan to 180 °C (350 °F). Fry rolls 2 minutes per side until golden. Drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
