
Ingredients (makes 6 rolls)
- 200 g ground beef
- Salt and pepper
- 6 spring roll wrappers
- ½ cup shredded American cheese
- ½ cup shredded lettuce
- ¼ cup diced tomato
- 1 tbsp diced onion
- Oil for frying
Special Sauce
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp mustard
Instructions
- Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium‐high, seasoning with salt and pepper. Break into small pieces; drain excess fat. Let cool slightly.
- Mix mayo, ketchup, and mustard for special sauce.
- Lay a wrapper on a board. Place about 2 tbsp beef in the center, top with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a drizzle of special sauce.
- Fold bottom up, fold sides in, roll tightly. Repeat for each.
- Heat oil in a pan to 180 °C (350 °F). Fry rolls 2 minutes per side until golden. Drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
