
Rotel Cream Cheese Sausage Balls – a kicked-up version of our famous sausage balls! Only 5 ingredients – sausage, Bisquick, cream cheese, Rotel diced tomatoes and green chiles, and Mexican cheese blend. Can make in advance and freeze for a quick snack later. Great for breakfast, brunch, lunch, an appetizer at parties, and afternoon snacks. Whip up a batch ASAP!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb hot sausage, uncooked
- 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 (10-oz) can Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, drained
- 1½ cups Bisquick
- 2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400ºF.
- Place all ingredients in the bowl of an electric stand mixer fitted with the dough hook attachment. Mix until well combined.
- Scoop sausage mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment paper-lined rimmed baking sheet.
- Bake for 18 – 20 minutes, or until brown.
Notes:
Sausage balls may be frozen uncooked. If baking frozen, add a few minutes to the baking time.
